All of us who like to have a crunchy cereal for breakfast know that when we mix it with milk, we have to eat it quickly so that it doesn't get soggy and mushy in a matter of minutes.

This problem has led a young man to design a product so that this does not happen again and you can enjoy every spoonful of your cereal.

The ColdCrunch

The ColdCrunch or according to its creator, “The World's Greatest Cereal Spoon”, is a project on Kickstarter that seeks to change the way we eat breakfast, the classic and popular bowl of cereal with milk, which after all, is the most important meal of the day.

Its design

The particular design of the ColdCrunch, consists of a cable and suction system, which on one side would be connected to the mouth of the bottle, which would allow the extraction of the milk, which would move through a tube finally reaching its other end, a spoon. The milk would never directly touch the plate, but when you take a spoon out of your cereal, the milk would only be deposited in this single portion.

This way, you could enjoy a crunchy spoonful of cereal in every bite.

What is it made of?

The device would be created from PET plastic (Polyethylene Terephthalate), a safe and durable material, allowing it to function in the long term, so that you don't have to worry about anything but washing it. In the worst case scenario, if over time you want to 'dispose' of the device, you can recycle it and its materials can be reused

Kickstarter fundraising campaign

The project is in its fundraising phase, so the models and photos available are only “proofs of concept” for the final project. Its creator Ian Sanders, has an active campaign on Kickstarter seeking to raise $27,000, and you can participate in its collection with different options:

• $20 contribution: get a 30% discount on the purchase of your first ColdCrunch Spoon in its Early Bird Special phase.
• $25 Contribution: get a 10% discount for the “retail price” phase.}
• $40 Contribution: get a 30% discount for 2 Spoons.
• $50 contribution: 10% discount for 2 Spoons at “retail price”.
• $75 contribution: get 4 ColdCrunch Spoons for the price of 3.
  
  

The approximate production and distribution dates are between December 2025 and early 2026, so if you want to own a ColdCrunch, you'll have to wait a while to own the final piece.
