The fashion world has led hundreds of brands to collaborate, either to empower themselves or to create a new disruptive concept in the market.
This is the case of the collaboration between Adidas and Avavav, which has resulted in the launch of the “Superfinger” sneakers as part of the Spring/Summer 2025 or SS25 collection.
An unexpected Collab
By now we are all familiar with the German multinational Adidas, which recently celebrated 100 years since its founding in July 1924, however, you may not have heard of the Avavav brand.
Avavav is a sustainable design-led fashion brand based in Milan, Italy, founded by Swedes Linda and Adam Friberg in 2017, characterized by its unconventional designs in terms of clothing, footwear and accessories.
Adidas x Avavav
The Superfinger collection, consists of a traditional Adidas Sneakers design, but comes along with a 'removable accessory' consisting of a leather and rubber toe cover, a characteristic design among some of Avavav products. Of course, your toes won't fit through there, as their cover is on the outside of the shoe.
The somewhat irreverent design plays with the unusual Avavav shape' and the comfort and style from Adidas; and Avavav, not being a sports-related company -unlike Adidas- believe that the collaboration is not only a product creation agreement, but was a “fun” project, breaking away from their own traditional design lines.
Pricing and release date
With an estimated price of $220, it has already generated great expectations among collectors and true fans. It will be released on November 20, however, it seems that those who sign up on the Adidas application will be the first (if not the only ones) to have access to the sale of this collaboration.
Where to buy them?
On the Avavav website, the item is already posted, but not yet available. While on Adidas' official site, the item, which is also published, claims to be “available” through its digital application “Confirmed” by Adidas (available on Play Store and Apple Store). Similarly, it is also expected to be published on other Authorized retailer sites after the official launch.
