How much would you pay to breathe clean air?

Air pollution continues to increase in much of the world and cities such as Begusarai in India, Lahore in Pakistan or Khotan in China, are some of those that top the list of cities with the highest levels of pollution.

How much would you pay to breathe clean air?

Could this product be a solution?

There is no lack of market, what is lacking is the creativity for new products. Everything can be sold, and Essential Air is proof of that. Narcís Socías, a diplomat and entrepreneur, launched a category of products consisting of bottled “pure air” from the unpolluted areas of Andorra, and is aimed at people living in areas with high levels of pollution.

Essential Air has not been the pioneer of this idea, as a few years ago “bottled air from Switzerland” was launched by Atmosair or “English farms air” by Aethaer, generating a mixture of attraction among some and surprise among others.

Each bottle of Essential Air captured in the World Biosphere Reserve of Ordino, in Andorra contains approximately 530 ml, which consists of 130 puffs of pure air.

Why Andorra?

Andorra is located approximately 712 meters above sea level, has a Mediterranean mountain climate, and this particular area, the Ordino Reserve, is characterized by a rich biological diversity and low air pollution, whose area of 82.7 square kilometers is protected by UNESCO.

Countries such as China, India or Pakistan are just some of the potential markets for these products due to their high level of pollution in metropolitan areas, which puts people's health at risk.

Is this a real solution?

While the product may provide a “breath” of pure and clean air, the effects and benefits are questionable. It basically consists more of a temporary placebo effect, which does not deliver solutions to the real problem.

At the moment there are no 100% reliable studies regarding the benefits of bottled air.Despite this, this type of product is in high demand in many countries, especially in Asia, where, unfortunately most of the cities with the worst levels of air pollution are located.

Each bottle of ORDINO WORLD BIOSPHERE RESERVE, labeled as "Premium air", is on sale for €70, however, you can find the ANDORRA UNESCO-PROTECTED NATURE version for €45 with 160 puffs of pure air.
